Booker T: "Can you feeeel it?! CAN YOU FEEEEEL IIIIT?! History will be made right here in the Chase Field in Arizona's Urban Heart PHOENIX - I.. cannot.. WAIT!"
Renee Young: "And of course a legend on the announce table, a part of so many memorable moments in the history of this business: The Pride of Memphis - Jerry 'The King' Lawler!"
Jerry Lawler: "I gotta ask you, can someone call a doctor because I think I just got tinnitus from Booker's singing. But to answer his question: Yeah, I definitely CAN feel it."
Renee Young: "And we've also got the Heartbreak Kid himself, Mr. Wrestlemania right here on the official start of the ROAD to Wrestlemania: SHAWN MICHAELS!"
Shawn Michaels: "Thrilled to be back here, back in UPW and to be a part of this panel. Let's get this party started."
Renee Young: "Very happy to have you three here tonight by my side. Let's not waste time here and go through the card. Our first match is a special one: the UPW Women's Championship is on the line... in a TAG TEAM MATCH! Women's Champion Ronda Rousey teaming up with Charlotte against LayCool. Whoever gets the pin or submission for their team will be Women's Champion after tonight."
Jerry Lawler: "You know what? When Stephanie McMahon announced this match this past Monday on Raw, I couldn't believe it: A singles championship defended in a tag team match? That's brilliant!"
Shawn Michaels: "Well, you know Stephanie just as long as I do, King: I mean, she's the daughter of Vincent Kennedy McMahon himself. Of course she's got brilliant ideas. She's a genius just like her dad."
Booker T: "Oh, for sure, for sure. You know, I love what these gals showed us the last couple of months. I mean, Charlotte and Ronda Rousey... they're without a doubt two of the best who ever did it. And most importantly: They're both in the PRIME of their careers. You can't say that about Layla and McCool. You have the QUEEN, the daughter of Ric Flair Charlotte and the BADDEST WOMAN ON THE PLANET, BABY - Rowdy Ronda Rousey. Nothing against LayCool but I just don't think after all these years.. they're on the level of Ronda and Charlotte. No offence.
Jerry Lawler: "I think you're right, Booker, but don't forget: they are a team through and through. They've been a team for the better part of their careers. That's gonna give them a huge advantage tonight."
Shawn Michaels: "And that's where this match stipulation comes into play, right? It's a tag team match. You'll have to work together as a team to get into a position to win this match. You'll HAVE to work TOGETHER. You have to understand that. And after what they did to each other the last couple of months, after their matches against each other, after their rivalry.. are Ronda and Charlotte able to work together? I guess we'll see."
Renee Young: "Definitely a great way to kick off this show later tonight. So, your predictions - which woman will win the match for her team?"
Booker T: "I'm gonna take the baddest woman on the planet: ROWDY RONDA ROUSEY!"
Jerry Lawler: "It's gonna be a close one but my money is on Charlotte"
Renee Young: "Alright, our second match is a big one: 6-man Ultimate X Match for the NXT X-Division Championship: Ricochet will defend his title against Will Ospreay, Velveteen Dream, Buddy Murphy, Tommaso Ciampa and Hiromu Takahashi."
Booker T: "Ooooooh boy, that's what I'm talkin' about right here. I'm gonna say it right now: This will be our showstealer tonight. Ultimate X!"
Shawn Michaels: "I really don't think you could have a more exciting match for the X-Division Title. Six of the best in-ring performers of this era. I've got to agree with Booker: this really could be the match of the night."
Jerry Lawler: "I mean, the three of us have been pretty good wrestlers in the ring, right? But when I see some of the stuff these guys do in there.. man, I feel like I took the wrong pills. My brain just can't process fast enough what my eyes are seeing."
Renee Young: "High expections for these six young superstars. Who's gonna win?"
Booker T: "My man, always in my fave five... BUDDY MURPHY!"
Jerry Lawler: "I think the man with the giant beard has a trick up his sleeve tonight: Tommaso Ciampa."
Shawn Michaels: "I think Ricochet can pull it off and retain his title - he's gonna win."
Renee Young: "Next up, we have a UPW Tag Team Championship Match: The former NXT and now UPW Tag Team Champions British Strong Style will defend their titles against the Undisputed Era. Your thoughts, Shawn?"
Shawn Michaels: "I like these guys. Great wrestlers, incredible inside the squared circle. I mean, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate.. you just can't believe that they're THIS good at their young age. And as much as I love the impact the Undisputed Era had since their debut a couple of weeks ago, I believe the two Brits can retain their titles tonight."
Jerry Lawler: "I mean, they just won a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match against some of the greatest tag teams in the world. They have the momentum. They already proved they can handle the pressure when it counts. But Cole, Fish and O'Reilly.. man, they're just really special. You look at them, you hear them talk, and you think to yourself: 'Man, is there anything these three guys can't do?'. They just have IT. Ever since they arrived in UPW, they have this aura of being on another level. Of being unstoppable. I think we'll have new tag champs after tonight."
Booker T: "From one king to another: I agree with you, Jerry. Dunne and Bate are great but I think they are in over their heads tonight. O'Reilly, Fish and ADAM COLE, BAY-BAY.. hahaaa, I love doing that... they're gonna win tonight. It's undisputed. After what I've seen from them so far: they ooze confidence. They'll win this match and believe me when I tell you: it's gonna be... GUDD!"
Renee Young: "Match 4 on the card is a Steel Cage Match for the NXT Championship between The Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre and The Man of a Thousand Deaths Mil Muertes."
Booker T: "Ooooooooh, boy. These fans in the front row better step back because this is gonna be a MASSACRE. This.. this monster Mil Muertes.. I wouldn't want to mess with him. Oh boy. And I definitely wouldn't want to be trapped inside a Steel Cage with him."
Jerry Lawler: "Amen to that. He's one of the guys where I'm glad he's wearing a mask. Because I already get nightmares watching him the way he is right now, I don't wanna see what he's hiding under there. There's something wrong with him. Whatever happened to him during that earthquake, messed him up pretty good. And as much as I like that Scottish Terminator Drew McIntyre, he's going face to face with a REAL psychopath tonight."
Shawn Michaels: "You know, I see a lot of myself in Drew. His focus, his determination to prove everyone wrong. To show that he belongs at the very top of this company. He did extraordinary things over the past few months. But man, oh man, that Mil Muertes guy.. uhh, there's something in his eyes that's just screaming: 'I already died years ago, now it's time for you to do the same'. Drew has to give his absolute best tonight to keep that title. But I think he's a smart kid, he'll find a way."
Renee Young: "So Shawn, your pick is Drew McIntyre, right? What about you, King and Booker?"
Jerry Lawler: "Drew is a big, strong man, but I'm going with Mil Muertes."
Booker T: "I agree, I think the Man of a Thousand Deaths will become NXT Champion tonight."
Renee Young: "And if you think the Steel Cage Match is gonna be a massacre, Booker, our next match could be just a brutal. Jay White will defend his Intercontinental Title in a No Disqualification Match against NXT's newest Superstar - Bobby Roode."
Jerry Lawler: "Did you see what Jay White did to Roode at the press conference? It was supposed to be Roode's big moment in the spotlight. He's signing a contract with NXT, the place that made him big. And the place that HE helped make big as well. And Switchblade takes the spotlight away from him - just like that. I've gotta admit, I was impressed. Couldn't have done it better myself."
Shawn Michaels: "It was a great move by Jay White, without a doubt. The way he put Roode through the table and stood there in front of the journalists? Well done, kid. But I really think Bobby Roode has made the right decision by going back to NXT. He's in a great position there. Respected by his peers and the GM William Regal. I think this move back to NXT will give him extra confidence. He's fighting not only for himself but for the whole NXT brand tonight. Pretty much like McIntyre. Both of them have a big opportunity tonight."
Booker T: "Big opportunity indeed. But big opportunity for both opponents in this match. Jay White betrayed NXT at the Survivor Series back in November. I'm sure the last thing he wants to see happen is the Intercontinental Championship switching to a NXT Superstar. Guys, this match is not only going to be GUDD... it's going to be.. GLOOOORIOUS!"
Jerry Lawler: "Oh man..."
Booker T: "Haaahahahaa, I love it!"
Renee Young: "So, you believe it's gonna be glorious. Do you think the winner of this match will be The Glorious One as well?"
Booker T: "Indeed!"
Jerry Lawler: "No offence, Booker, but: not a chance. A No Disqualification Match like that is perfect for a vicious individual like Jay White. Switchblade will retain. And I hope someone calls the cops to stop him when he starts playing with his knives."
Renee Young: "Shawn?"
Shawn Michaels: "Like I said, Roode is in a good spot, but Jerry is right: No DQ definitely plays into Jay White's hands. What's that thing the kids do today? Hashtags? Well.. #AndStill."
Renee Young: "Only one more match before the main event. It's for the UPW World Heavyweight Championship. The Miz will defend his title against Joey Ryan."
Shawn Michaels: "You know, for this match people like to talk about momentum and stuff like that. They talk about how Joey Ryan beat The Miz on Raw for the spot in this match. And that's true. He rolled him up and pinned him one, two, three. But believe me when I tell you.. from my own experience: If you talk about momentum and maybe an advantage in confidence.. you can never EVER count out the Champ. Never! When you carry around the gold, when you're at the top of the food chain, when you're the Champion of the WORLD, no one is more confident than you are."
Jerry Lawler: "Shawn is right. I mean, The Miz.. he didn't win this title in a lottery. He didn't win it in some bingo hall in Cleveland. He's the Champion because right here, right now he's the best in the business."
Booker T: "And when I look at that man, when I look at the Miz, I think he knows that. Some would say he's got too much of this thing you call confidence. And maybe, just maybe.. this could bite him in the.. you know what, hahaaaha.."
Renee Young: "Whether The Miz has an advantage as the champion or Joey Ryan has momentum on his side, only one man can start the Road to Wrestlemania 14 with the title. Who is it going to be? Booker.."
Booker T: "I'm putting my money oooon.. Joey Ryan!"
Renee Young: "King?"
Jerry Lawler: "I'm not sure, it's pretty much 50/50 for me. But if I have to pick one, I'm picking.. The Miz."
Shawn Michaels: "Same here. You may love him, you may hate him.. but he's the champion for a reason. I'm picking The Miz as well."
Renee Young: "It's time for the big one. 30 men fighting for a UPW World Heavyweight Championship Match at the grandest stage of 'em all, Wrestlemania: The Royal Rumble Match. There's so many factors that play into a match like that. From the entry number you've picked.. to strength.. to personal problems you have with some of the men you're facing in that match.. to cleverness.. to luck. It's just so hard to predict what's going to happen. But since you're the experts, you're gonna do it anyway. Shawn, you know a thing or two about Royal Rumble Matches. In fact, you're the man who's holding the records for most eliminations in a single Rumble and in all Rumble Matches combined. Back in 2013 you eliminated TEN other superstars and overall you've eliminated 18! What's your opinion on tonight's Royal Rumble Match?"
Shawn Michaels: "Well, thanks for that, Renee. Thanks for mentioning it. But you left out the fact that I got eliminated as well. I did pretty good in 2013 but still came up short and only finished as the runner-up of that match. But you're right, I know quite a bit about this match. You know, you just can't compare it to anything else in this business. It's just something special. These guys, they leave their hotel rooms today and they arrive here at the arena.. and they just don't know what's going to happen. They don't know when they will enter the match. They don't know who they'll meet inside the ring. It really is a night unlike any other night in this business."
Booker T: "I remember being a part of this match and it's always been the night of the year I've been looking forward to the most. To win a match like that you need a certain mindset. And if you have that mindset - and of course a little bit of luck - you can win this match. No matter if you're Number 1 or 30."
Jerry Lawler: "In my personal opinion.. of course you never know for sure what's going to happen, but even though there are 30 superstars competing in this match, if you look at the landscape of this business, if you look at the roster right now.. they're only a handful of people that have the mindset that Booker has just been talkin' about. They are only five or six superstars that have that combination of mental strength, physical strength, skills and talent. So, if you ask me who's going to be in that discussion, it's down to a few men."
Renee Young: "I won't ask you who's going to win that match. But I want the three of you to give me a few names. Which superstars on the UPW and NXT roster have a good chance of winning tonight and main eventing Wrestlemania?"
Jerry Lawler: "How about the leader of the Bullet Club Kenny Omega? Maybe the former champion Curt Hawkins. And maybe it's time for Jay White to make some history tonight and become the first Intercontinental Champion to win the Royal Rumble Match."
Booker T: "Speaking of making history: Don't forget Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins. And damn, how about the Man of a Thousand Deaths Mil Muertes?"
Shawn Michaels: "You know, I think we're gonna have a NXT Superstar win this match tonight. Possibly Adam Cole. Or it could be the Champion himself Drew McIntyre. Maybe even the NXT Superstar of the Year 2018 Hideo Itami."
Jerry Lawler: "And don't forget the man that recently showed a whole new side of himself: Sami Zayn."
